- Who can join OFF LABEL?
- Independent artists in the UK, unsigned or on an independent label, plus the collaborators, venues and studios who work with them. Artists on a major label can't join.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing to join. We are funded by brands who want to reach independent artists and institutions who want the UK scene to survive.
- Who owns my music?
- You do. Recordings, compositions, masters and rights all stay with you. We only hold a limited licence to store and display your uploads inside the product.
- Why is it London only right now?
- Discovery works best when there are plenty of people nearby, so we're starting in London and will open in more cities over time.
- How accurate is the funding information?
- We track rights payments and grants from official sources and check deadlines regularly. Always confirm eligibility with the source before you apply.
- What happens if I get signed?
- If it's an independent label, nothing changes. If it's a major label, tell us and we will help you export everything: OFF LABEL is for independent artists, so we will not pretend otherwise.
